I don’t know how to explain it, but you’ll know your world is changing not from looking around you and seeing change, but when you first feel it within.
Before anything changes on the outside, you will feel it on the inside.
I used to dislike when people said this. I would get frustrated.
When I was affirming, visualizing, scripting everyday.. and putting in all the necessary “work”.
I expected things to change in the “real world” quickly. I thought, the more work I put in, the more I’ll get back. I mean that’s what we’re taught our whole lives, right?
I NEEDED money now, I needed my work environment to improve now, I wanted my ex back now. I felt the people writing about “feeling it within first” didn’t understand what it was like to live in dire circumstances trying to pretend to be happy.
But now I understand.
If you’re still in the “frustration mindset” right now, just know, you are not alone. I truly believed I was never going to get past this feeling. I would get angry at myself for getting impatient and looking at my 3D world for results.. only to see the lack.
It took me a LOT of time to get to the point of accepting the 3D world as it is. To accept that we can never see change in the outer world without first changing ourself on the inside.
I believe everyone has to go through their own experience of frustration, anger, confusion…whichever emotions come up before they are able to accept this.
But hopefully my own experience can help you see things from a new perspective and ultimately make the transition a little easier.
After so many months of affirming and following other law of attraction techniques, only to see minimal results or even the OPPOSITE results, I decided I was done.
I felt burnt out, crazy, obsessive and not like myself.
This is when I had a bit of an epiphany.
This whole time while reading spiritual books and listening to many teachings by “experts“, I realized I’d been leaving out a large piece of the puzzle.
That being, I had listened to everyone…except myself.
The most important person in the entire equation.
The person that has the ability to create the life I want. The person who’s only goal is to see me successful and happy. The only one who can fulfill every one of my desires.
Your inner self is quite literally your guidance system. If something feels bad.. Don’t do it. If something feels good, do it.
It’s so simple.
Maybe that’s why we over-look it. We seek answers outside of ourself because we assume it’s complicated to change our lives, it’s “hard” to make lots of money, to meet the love of your life, to follow our dreams so we should seek help from someone who “knows better“.
But in reality, no one knows better than you.
So back to my own experience, when I decided to listen to my “gut” and do what felt right to me for the first time, I stopped worrying about all the “rules” of law of attraction and decided to only do the “techniques” that made sense to me.
I’ve always been a visual learner.
So I created a Pinterest Board titled “My Life” and in it, included everything I wanted to manifest. I even created my own personal pins to add to it. I’d scroll through it daily listening to music that made me excited about my future. I even added affirmations to it that felt right to me. (I didn’t worry about forcing myself to say the same ones every day).
I also started writing this blog.
I’ve always loved expressing myself with lots of words. I’ve never been one to write “short descriptions”. I did really well in creative writing throughout school (and I mean I write blog posts and recipes for a living now). So sharing my thoughts about manifesting on a blog, just felt right.
After my first post here, I felt instantly up-lifted.
I tried to note down other things that felt good to me and I’d aim to do more of them (never getting angry with myself if I didn’t do something on the list that day).
I aimed to meet new friends, go out more, travel more (I booked a cottage trip myself, which I’d never done before), to get outside more, to sing more, dance more.
I also started noticing the little things I was grateful for each day. Like my parent’s bringing me dinner, my cat’s running into my room in the morning, my neighbour bringing up my garbage cans for me, a kind person offering for me to go ahead in line, the beautiful sunset after a thunderstorm…
It’s funny how much love actually surrounds us that we fail to see. But the more we notice it, the more it shows up.
“What you focus on grows.“
As more positive things began to occur in my life, I also became more positive about my financial status.
I was grateful for the orders I received and the kind customers who’d message me. I just had this feeling that everything was going to be okay. That where I’m at right now is ok. It’s exactly where I’m meant to be.
I was more forgiving of myself.
It’s so important to accept wherever you are in this moment. Even if you feel it’s not where you’re meant to be, know that one day you’ll look back on today and it will all make sense.
Enjoy the moment, right now. Even if there’s not much to enjoy, find something. Find anything that you can be grateful for. Focus on that. Focus on the good.
It can be as simple as waking up and thanking the universe for another day. You’re ALIVE! You were put here for a reason.
You were put here to experience your desires. You are quite literally the universe experiencing itself. Your desires (what feels good) is your guidance system. Follow it.
Know that each desire you have is not simply a desire but a glimpse at your destiny. It is the universe speaking to you. Telling you what is meant for you.
All you have to do is trust it’s already yours. Trust you can’t mess up.
Find the good in each day. Accept where you are, know you are on the right path.
Do things that make you feel good. Manifest using “techniques” that you enjoy. Not ones that someone told you do. Make them up if you need to.
Trust your inner guidance. Know that when you feel change inside, the outside world WILL FOLLOW.
Things will fall into place exactly when they are “supposed to.“
If ever you question if it’s “working“, look inside.
If you feel negative, angry, frustrated, accept this. It’s okay! We aren’t meant to be robots. Do your best to find something that makes you feel even ever-so slightly better. This could be watching your favourite funny movie, going out for a walk, listening to a song, working out, reading, finding something small to be thankful for…etc.
You’ll know you are in alignment with your inner guidance system when you feel calm and at peace.
Happy, excited, content.. these are all other other signals you are in alignment with your inner self.
Try to be in this feel-good state as often as you can.
Again, just because you feel sad or unhappy sometimes, this does NOT mean you cannot manifest or you’ve done something wrong.
The goal is to be in a more positive state, following your inner guidance the majority of time and to accept yourself in the more difficult times, (knowing you are still on the right path).
Do this for long enough, and I guarantee you will see a huge shift in your life.
The more you do this, the more momentum you’ll gain.
Eventually the good feelings will make-up more and more of your default mindset.
And the more you feel good inside, the more you’ll see your outer world shifting to match.
